Kia recently debuted its fully-electric EV6, which has already generated quite a lot of buzz around Kearny Mesa and La Mesa. If you are thinking about making the switch to an electric vehicle, you may be interested in comparing the 2023 Kia EV6 vs. 2022 Kia EV6. Should you buy now or wait for the arrival of the new model? This 2023 Kia EV6 preview can help you narrow down your search. See what you can expect from the upcoming iteration of the EV6 here.

What’s New for 2023?

Because the Kia EV6 has not been on the market for long, there are not many changes made for the 2023 model year. As you compare the 2023 Kia EV6 vs. 2022 Kia EV6, you will not see many differences on the specs sheet. It will still offer a maximum range of 310 miles, with the ability to charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes. This makes it a tough rival (at a much more affordable price) to competitors from Tesla.

What is new for 2023 is the addition of the 2023 EV6 GT. This performance-inspired configuration proves that you do not have to sacrifice power to drive a vehicle that is also environmentally friendly.

2023 Kia EV6 GT Preview

The Kia EV6 GT is a new addition to the lineup, and this dual-motor EV crossover is sure to make a striking first impression anywhere it goes. Its performance specs are sure to wow even the most discerning drivers around Chula Vista.

  • 577 hp
  • Max speed of 161 mph
  • Drift mode
  • DC fast-charging rates of up to 240 kW

The rear axle features a torque-biasing differential that varies the amount of thrust that each wheel receives. 21-inch wheels are standard. With the GT button, you will now have access to the new Dynamic mode, which has been added to the Eco, Normal, and Sport settings.

Step inside the cabin, and you will be able to enjoy semi-bucket sports seats trimmed in microfiber. New performance touchscreen displays are also available on this exciting new configuration.
