Appts are made through an automatic system, so it's a litte hard to the exact time you want. I was able to get an appt on a Sat the same week. That's a plus! The Service Tech, Vanessa, was very nice. She told me mu car should be ready in about 2 hours or so and they were done in 2.5 hours. They did not wash my car though. I guess they don't do that anymore. For as much as we pay for an oil change, you would think I could get a car wash.

Sales person Fred attended to us quickly, listened to our requirements. Walked quite a way to confirm they had a car we were interested in….was always courteous and never pushy….made the process easy and the deal to our liking after a prior bad experience with a different San Diego area dealer! I had an outstanding experience with Kearny Mesa Kia from start to finish. Josh Rios was absolutely spectacular, and Mike Mokhtar, the sales manager, was equally great to work with. They were professional, honest, straightforward, and worked hard to put together a deal that I felt was extremely fair.
What impressed me most was how easy and transparent the entire process was. We worked out virtually everything ahead of time through email and over the phone, with none of the typical back-and-forth or pressure that you often experience when buying a vehicle.

The whole process felt shady and off. I was a salesperson for 20 years and this place felt just shady. I knew what car I wanted, and I wanted to either finance or lease. Leasing seemed to be the better option, but I was told that I had to put 15,000 dollars down to get a lower payment of 350.00 for a Kia K5 Gt Line. I asked them since I have never leased before. Arrived on time for my oil change appt. Ignored by the “ service valet” for 15 min. Cars with no driver randomly parked in drive thru service lanes like a Costco gas line. Service advisor refused to accept the FB ad price offer that I received that same morning. It took 2 1/2 hours for a routine oil filter change and tire rotation WITH an appt. Overall; Not impressed.

Upfront negotiation on terms and conditions, quote was provided me on email along with trade in appraisal. No other San Diego car dealers for Kia entertain these and they try to oversell with dealer addons. All paperwork was done very professionally and pressure buying experience. I purchased a 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid here in June 2026. My salesperson was Thomas and the finance manager was Manuel A Lopez who goes by Manny. In the finance office, Manny quoted me a Kia Distinction Platinum service contract at $1,158 with a $0 deductible, and I agreed to that specific product. When I reviewed my signed paperwork at home, the contract showed a completely different product — a JM&A service contract at $3,995. I have been taking my vehicles to this dealership since 2004. I have worked with many service writers. Thankfully they have all listened to my concerns, and always fix the issues whether it's my Lincoln MKX or my previous 04 Kia Sorento. When I have not been able to pick them up before getting off work there is convenience of pain for the invoice over the phone and they will deliver it to my home. Purchased my car here and I get my services here. On this particular visit, the wait to check in was a little long, but overall the liaison was polite and I like that they do everything by text. They also charge a service fee for using your credit card which is getting way too common. I used a debit card to avoid the fee. There are lots of restaurants, shops and cafes in the area to go to while you’re waiting.

I was there to have my horn fixed, I've been without a horn for over a month. Your technicians had to email the engineers and ask them how to fix it. Since they didn't respond there was nothing your people could do. Kia is now buying my car back because it more than qualifies for the buy back program. I have spent a lot of hours at your dealership with multiple work orders..Monday I'll be back there hopefully someone can fix the dam horn. Their service department is great and professional always brought my vehicles here no problems and if there were any issues they would call me and response quickly to my text messages when they have my vehicle in service. They even caught a small leak in my engine before my factory warranty ended and fix the issue. So they really do a great inspection of the vehicle every time I bring in my vehicles.

I had a mixed experience at this dealership. Some of the sales staff were friendly and helpful. Daniel and Jon W were especially great to work with and made the process smoother. However, working with the sales manager was difficult due to constant back-and-forth communication. While I did purchase my car, I would recommend working directly with Daniel or Jon W if possible.
Easy online service scheduling. Check-in and drop-off was fast. Updates received by LaDrell including Uber voucher were amazing. Pickup and payment was efficient.

It was a long wait for these items which is usually how it goes when we bring our car in for any type of service with Kia.
The only difference worth mentioning was our service advisor.
Vanessa Woods greeted us warmly, and took time to answer our questions and address the issues.
Our interactions with her were positive and we appreciated her friendly demeanor!

I moved very recently from South Orange County to San Diego. I must say that my first visit to this dealership was excellent. The service was prompt and I would like to commend my service advisor, Vanessa for seeking me out and keeping me informed. I would also like to give a shout out to the advisor who sits to the right of her for offering and helping me replace my windshield wipers. Long story short I have no need to look for another dealership while I reside in San Diego.
