California Clean Fuel Reward Paused

The California Clean Fuel Reward has been temporarily paused. When the amount reduction period ends, new details will be added to the program website. Higher than estimated growth of electric vehicle sales in California, along with less revenue than initially estimated from the sale of LCFS credits and the program’s legal obligation to have at least $10 million in program funds available as a reserve has led to this pause. If these conditions change, the program will be reinstated in the future.

California Clean Fuel Reward (CCFR)

The California Clean Fuel Reward offers up to $750 on the purchase or lease of an eligible new Battery Electric (BEV) or Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) vehicle. How can you become eligible for the California Clean Fuel rebate?

• Drivers must reside in California and must register the vehicle in California as well.
• Drivers must buy or lease a new electric vehicle with a battery capacity greater than 5 kWh.
• Your CCFR incentive will be listed on your lease or purchase agreement under categories like “rebate/non-cash credits,” “EV incentive,” “manufacturer rebate,” or “other” line.
